Welcome to the Links Wiki Notice Board!

This should be your first stop whenever coming onto the wiki in order to find all of the latest information from Links, including updates, alerts and general news.

Version 2015.2 - Automated Rejection Emails

It has come to our attention that when upgrading from pay.link to Integrated Payments Manager you will need to update your 'send notification' settings if you use the automated rejection email feature (Integrated Payments Manager > Settings > Notifications> Rejections).
These are not automatically checked so you must check these boxes prior to your first debit run in Integrated Payments Manager to ensure your families/members are sent their rejection notifications.

To do this:
1) Open Integrated Payments Manager
2) Click on Settings
3) Select the Rejection Fees tab
4) Check the applicable boxes in the Send Notification column
5) Click Save
Note that if you have a multi location database you will need to do this for each location that sends automated rejection notifications.

Daily Attendance screen not saving attendance

This is a known bug in version 9.98 and earlier
It relates to the local environment, network, PC, Operating system, PC configuration, user profile, and/or a combination of those and possibly other factors.
Attendance will not be saved if the following box does not appear after checking/ticking 'attend'. This box must appear for this screen to be working correctly.
Image
Note: that this problem can affect one PC and not another, so the first advice would be to use the PC that saves the attendance without problems to record attendances.

If you are experiencing this problem, i.e. the message shown above does not appear after you check/tick 'attend' in the daily attendance screen, in most cases it can be avoided by having your staff open their Links screens in the following order every day:
1. Open Links
2. Open Classes
3. Open the Visual Scheduler
4. Open Daily Attendances
If you close any of the above during the day you must reopen them in the same order.

Our programmers are working on a resolution to this problem for a future Links release.
If you have any questions regarding this please contact Links Support

Removing Public Holidays in a multi-location database'

This is a known bug in version 9.98 and earlier
This only affects sites using a multi-location database
The bug has been fixed in a future version, release number yet to be confirmed so please check release notes

If you have to remove a public holiday for a single location in Links you will need to reinstate the public holiday for the other locations.
When removing a public holiday it is meant to be location specific but unfortunately removing a public holiday removes it for all locations. After removing the public holiday, if other locations are still acknowledging the public holiday you will need to add this back into the database. See here for more information on adding public holidays Entering Public Holidays
If you have any questions regarding this please contact Links Support

Class Level, Area and/or Teacher showing as 'unknown'

This is a known bug in version 9.9 and earlier
This only affects sites using Classweb
The bug has been fixed in a future version, release number yet to be confirmed so please check release notes

If you find any of these classes on your database please lodge a web support request and Links Support will fix these classes for you.
Please include details of the affected classes in your request and we will fix all the affected classes for you.

Classes are appearing on Public Holidays when they shouldn't be

This is a known bug in version 9.9 and earlier
This only affects sites using Classweb
The problem is happens when you have selected for a Class Type to recognise a public holiday in Admin > Admin > Setup Public Holidays but the Visual Scheduler still shows Classes on that day for that Class Type
The bug has been fixed in a future version, release number yet to be confirmed so please check release notes

To fix this issue on your database complete the following steps.
WE RECOMMEND YOU TEST THIS IN TRAINING MODE THE FIRST TIME YOU TRY THIS

Remove the Public Holiday by highlighting and then clicking the red 'x' in
Admin > Admin > Setup Public Holidays
Image

Say 'Yes' to the following message
Image

Reenter the Public Holiday, ensuring you select the relevant Class Types again before clicking 'Save' *
Image

Say 'Yes' to the following message
Image

The Public Holiday should now be back on the left side, and the Visual Scheduler should no longer show Classes for the applicable Class Types on that day
Image

  • IMPORTANT: If you have a multi-location database please see the first note regarding removing Public Holidays. If you remove the Public Holiday in one location Links will remove it from all locations. Therefore, if reinstating the Public Holiday, you will need to reinstate the Public Holiday at each location.
